date range results

Hi,
I see that I can use > or < operators for searching.
Am I able to define a data range in one query or do I need to do a new query for each date?
If no, any suggestions for me adding this functionality?

I am thinking that adding a new BETWEEN operator could be added to the existing operators. We could add two sets of dates seperated by a comma to do a date range.

thoughts?
