sum of columns

Please disregard my last post...I got it to work.
however, I would like to be able to place a sum of the numerical figures in two of my columns on the display page.
Is this possible and if so, how?

I would like to get something like this working also for date fields as well. I want to generate a sum of days and save the integer to a field in the table. Anyone have something like this working?

It isn't possible to have a sum in the display page without changing some code.
