Can't get "Other Options" to work

Has anybody gotten the "other options" in DaDaBik Administration to work. When I select this option, it adds an input field in the add/edit section of the DaDabik database I created, but it does not add the information to the database record. I can't figure out whether I am using this option correctly or not. Anybody figure this one out???

Sorry I meant the "Other Choices" (y/n) in Administration. When I select this option, I get an input box but the field in never updated in the database....anybody else have this problem??
