User Authentication problem

I am using a .htaccess file that limits post and that works fine.
But for some reason i cant do a search without a password. I am guesing
that its posting something during a search. Any suggestions how i can
limit post access and still search and read details.

It's right, if you protect DaDaBIK files with apache .htaccess you can't insert nor search.
